Our team building trips provide a fun and active way to encourage team work and teambuilding skills. In addition to our normal kayak trip we can add

-Group challenges

These activities give participants the opportunity to develop essential teamwork skills including communication, leadership, and planning.

Usual route for custom trip includes the Bay Bridge, San Francisco downtwon, McCovey Cove, and Mission Creek. However, this may be adjusted to fit the conditions of the day or the group’s route preference.

We use performance seatouring kayaks for these trips which are more comfortable, faster and drier than sit-on-top kayaks.

All necessary gear is provided in the cost: life jackets, paddles, dry jackets, spray skirts.

Costs
$59 per person for 2 hour trips (1 hour paddling/activities)
$69 per person for 3 hour trips (2 hour paddling/activities)

* Additional charge will be applied for longer, evening, or one-way trips to Pier 39.
* Tax and 15% gratuity for the guides will be added to the total charge.
* There is a $500 minimum on custom trips.
* 50% deposit at booking and the balance is due 7 days before.

In addition to the above per capita charges, additional fees may apply for special considerations. For example: $10/person for a boxed lunch.

Reservation
You can make a reservaton using the reservation form, by phone, or via email. You should book as early as you can because some trips are scheduled weeks in advance. We can't run a trip if a guide is not available or the time slot is full.

Cancellations receive refunds based on the following schedule:
7 days prior to trip- 100% refund
6 days prior to trip- 80% refund
5 days prior to trip- 60% refund
4 days prior to trip- 40% refund
3 days prior to trip- 20% refund
2 days or less prior to trip do not receive refunds.

Changes to trip dates and/or itinerary can be made 7 days prior to trip date with no charge. Changes within 7 days will incur a surcharge between 10% to 50% depending on the severity of the change and the number of days prior to the trip

Location
Most kayak trips launch from South Beach Harbor, which is at the intersection of The Embarcadero and Townsend.

2 hour visitor parking is located in the front of the pier. Parking permit can be purchased at the South Beach Harbor for $10 a day ($30 for San Francisco Giants game day).

Things to Bring
Clothes that you don’t mind getting wet, bottled water, sun protection, waterproof camera

Storage cubicles and baggage check-in is available, but please leave your valuables at home. City Kayak is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
